Since 2012, our BLOOM (Building a Lifetime of Options and Opportunities for Men) program has transformed the lives and futures of more than 800 young Black men throughout Los Angeles. They are often hardest hit, accounting for nearly a third of LA County youth on probation which restricts opportunity and lack of opportunity fuels re-offense.
We are very pleased that the LA County Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved an expansion of this program to combat the school-to-prison pipeline of Black men.
